For the month of October, we are honored to feature The Runaways Animal Rescue, based in Port Richey, FL. Founded in March 2020, The Runaways Animal Rescue began as a small foster-based effort and has since grown into a full-service rescue. In 2021, with support from an angel investor and generous donors, we purchased and renovated a 7,000 sq. ft. facility.
Since then, we’ve saved over 4,000 animals through medical care, rehabilitation, fostering, and adoption. With just five staff members and over 100 volunteers, our impact extends beyond the animals to the people and communities we serve.
Our mission remains the same: to rescue, heal, and advocate for the most vulnerable animals in need.
